An on-page SEO checklist for any page
Before publishing or updating a page, work through these questions.
- What one topic is this page about?
- Does the title describe that topic clearly and truthfully?
- Is there a single, descriptive main heading?
- Does the opening answer the visitor’s question quickly?
- Are subheadings used to break up longer content?
- Do images have useful alternative text?
- Does the page link to related pages with descriptive link text?
- Is there a clear next step for the visitor?
Pages that do these things well are easier for both people and search engines to understand.
